It's been a long time coming but finally, I've been to Batanes, and it was everything I've expected and more.
The place is truly beautiful. Everywhere you go, there's a wonderful photo waiting to be taken. Now, I understand why a lot people are saying that being in Batanes makes one feel like being in another country.
More than this, the people are so nice and warm. They seem to always be smiling and saying "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon". One can't help but also smile back and say "Hello". Trust me, it's hard to be cranky when you're around such nice people.
The picture above is of the lighthouse in Mahatao, the town next to Basco. I so love this picture because of the colors. For more pictures of Batanes click on the link just below the picture.
